"I HAD FROM MY YOUTH BEEN VERY MUCH PLEASED WITH THE STUDY OF PLANTS AND OTHER PARTS OF NATURE, WHICH WERE TO BE FOUND IN THE FIELDS OR IN THE GARDENS OF THESE PARTS" - Relief on right side:
THIS COPY OF THE STATUE BY RYSBRACK, ERECTED IN THE CHELSEA PHYSIC GARDEN IN 1712 WAS PLACED HERE BY THE PEOPLE OF KILLYLEIGH TO MARK THE MILLENNIUM AND THE REGENERATION OF THE HARBOUR AREA
