Group

has description | a une description
The Ligue Maritime et Coloniale Française is a special interests group created in 1921 from the fusion of Ligue Maritime and Ligue Coloniale. On its first year of existence, it declared 250,000 members, and 700,000 in 1929. As the Maritime League and later as the LMCF, it aimed to raise pro-French navy and pro-colonial sentiments through school programs, through the press, charity, and government lobbying. As part of its public actions, it organized and partially funded several statues to colonial figures.
