Protection au titre des Monuments historiques

Law

has description | a une description
Protection as a historic monument has existed in France since 1887, and was replaced by a law in 1913. It is now included in the 2004 French Heritage Code. There are two types of protection: inscription and classification, based on the historical, artistic, architectural, technical or scientific interest of monuments. This protection provides a legal framework for interventions on monuments, and opens up the possibility of state aid and tax benefits for restoration work.
