Carlo Marochetti

Italian-born French sculptor in the nineteenth century. Some of his notable colonial works include the equestrian statue of Ferdinand Philippe, Duke of Orléans in Neuilly-sur-Seine (which was originally installed in Algiers but was later repatriated to France in 1980), the equestrian statue of Stapleton Cotton in Chester, and the statue of Robert Clive in Shrewsbury.
